Shipping Times & Policies


USA Shipping Chart and Timelines  (All orders EXCEPT WIGS):

Standard Shipping:  Average delivery time is 3-7 days and most orders will arrive within 3-7 days from order receipt. Standard shipping times are not guaranteed.  Orders typically ship via USPS to your residence. Shipments may be sent via FedEx at no additional charge at our discretion. Standard rates:

  • $6.99 for orders under $50
  • $7.99 for orders from $50 - $74.99
  • $8.99 for orders from $75 - $99.99
  • $9.99 for orders from $100 - $125.99
  • $10.99 for orders over $126

FedEx 2nd Day Air Shipping:   Your order will be shipped via FedEx 2nd Day Air and will arrive within 2 business days if placed before noon CST. Orders received after 12 pm may not ship until the following business day so allow an additional day for processing. Business days are Monday through Friday. We do not ship or deliver on weekends or federal holidays. FedEX 2nd Day Air is available for a flat rate of $19.99.

 

FedEx Overnight Shipping:   Overnight orders will ship via Fed Ex standard overnight service and will arrive within 1-2 business days**. Typically, your order will arrive the next business day, if your order is placed by 12:00 PM CST. Orders placed after 12:00 PM (Central Time) may not ship until the following business day, so please allow an additional day for processing.  Business days are Monday through Friday. We do not ship or deliver on weekends or federal holidays. FedEx Overnight Shipping is available for a flat rate of $39.99.

 

Additional Shipping Guidelines:

  • Some destinations outside of major metropolitan areas will require an additional shipping day or additional charges for FedEx expedited services. Customer will be contacted if additional shipping charges apply.
  • **We are not responsible for delays due to situations beyond our control, including but not limited to: inclement weather, holiday shipping policies of carriers or natural and man made disasters.
  • Heavier than average shipments (over 3 pounds) will require additional shipping charges. We will contact the customer directly to confirm any additional charges before shipping.
  • If a FedEx or UPS package is marked "Return to Sender" or is undeliverable, the carrier will charge us for return shipping. Therefore, return shipping charges will be deducted from your refund.
  • Although we will attempt to honor requests for alternate shipping addresses, we reserve the right to ship any order to the billing address provided at checkout.

 


US Wig Shipping Policies and Transit Times: 

We offer 3 shipping options on our wigs. These options apply to wigs only:

  • Standard Shipping: 7-10 days. Standard Shipping rate is reflected in the shopping cart and checkout page.  Everything will ship together in one box. For customers that need delivery to a post office box, this is your only shipping option.  Shipping time frames on standard shipping are not guaranteed by the carrier or Headcovers.
  • 2 Day Shipping: 2-3 business days: ****FedEx is not guaranteeing 2nd Day Air shipments.***. Please allow additional time or chose FedEx Overnight Shipping for your order. Shipping rates are reflected in the shopping cart and checkout page.  Wigs shipped via 2 DAY AIR will arrive in two business days after you place your order, if ordered by 12:00 PM CST. Otherwise, it will arrive in 3 business days. Wigs ordered by 2 day service are shipped to you directly from the wig designer. Other products ordered will arrive via standard shipping (in a separate shipment). 
  • Overnight Shipping: 1-2 business days. Shipping rate is reflected in the shopping cart and checkout page.  If ordered by 12:00 PM CST, your order will arrive in 1 business day. Otherwise, it will arrive in 2 business days. Wigs ordered by overnight service are shipped to you directly from the wig designer. Other products ordered will arrive via standard shipping (in a separate shipment). 

Additional Shipping Information for USA Shipments (All Products)

  • Business days are Monday through Friday and do not include federal holidays. We do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays or federal holidays and carriers do not deliver on weekends or holidays.
  • If your wig is shipped directly from the designer, it many be shipped via UPS rather than Fed Ex.
  • For security reasons, your wig order must be sent to the address on file with your credit card company. Exceptions may be made for established customers at our discretion.
  • For your protection, we reserve the right to require a signature upon delivery.
  • Multiple Wigs with 2 Day or Overnight Shipping: More than one wig, shipped at the same time, by the same designer can be shipped for a single shipping charge. Two wigs ordered at the same time, by different designers may be subject to additional shipping charges. We normally ship the most expensive wig via the expedited method selected at checkout and ship the other items on your order via standard delivery. If you need every item expedited, please contact us as additional charges may apply.
  • Some destinations outside of major metropolitan areas will require an additional shipping day or additional charges for FedEx expedited services. Customer will be contacted if additional shipping charges apply.
  • If a FedEx or UPS package is marked "Return to Sender" or is undeliverable, the carrier will charge us for return shipping. Therefore, return shipping charges will be deducted from your refund.

Delayed Shipments

 

Expedited Orders:

  • On the rare occasion of a back order or any discrepancies on your order, we will attempt to contact you. If we are unable to reach you immediately, your shipment will be held until we are able to successfully reach you.
  • We can not be responsible for delivery delays that result from the carrier being unable to deliver the package due to no one being at the shipping address to accept the package when delivery is attempted.
  • We cannot be responsible for delays due to incliment weather, natural disasters, or holiday peak times. We are not responsible for packages claimed delivered by the carrier but not received by the customer. To ensure safe delivery, we reserve the right to require a signature on any package.

Standard Shipments:

  • The vast majority of our packages are delivered within 3-7 business days after shipment. Occasionally a package will be misdirected and delivery may take longer than expected.
  • If your package has been delayed, we will provide you with a tracking number. It is the customer's responsibility to follow up at their local post office, mail carrier or FedEx station. If the shipper is unable to trace the package and tracking does not show delivery within 21 days of shipment (domestic shipments) or 30 days (International shipments) we will re-ship the package.
  • Re-shipped packages are not eligible for returns, exchanges or refunds. If the original package shows as delivered at a later date and is not returned to us, customer will be charged for both shipments.
  • We are not responsible for packages claimed delivered by the post office or FedEx (via delivery confirmation or tracking) but not received by the customer. It is the customer's responsibility to request a signature requirement, which adds $5 to the shipping charge. We reserve the right to require a signature on any package at our discretion.

Undeliverable Shipments & Shipping Address Errors:

Customer assumes full responsibility for entering accurate shipping information when submitting an order.  Please double check your shipping information carefully before submitting your order.  If you find that you have made an error when submitting your shipping address, please contact us immediately.  We will do our best to make the corrections for you, however, if the order has already been sent for processing, we will be unable to make any modifications.  In this case, it is the customer's responsibility to bear any expenses associated with the misdirected parcel.  For international shipments, the customer assumes responsibility for all shipping and customs charges for the misdirected package, as well as return shipping to us for the item. 

If a package is unclaimed by the customer or returned due to unsuccessful delivery attempts, additional shipping charges will apply if the package must be re-shipped.  In addition, FedEx and UPS will charge us for return shipping on undeliverable packages. Therefore, return shipping fees will be deducted from your refund. This policy does not apply to USPS packages. We cannot issue shipping refunds for the original shipment or apply original shipping charges to the reshipment.


 

Order Fulfillment Errors and Product Defects:

Please inspect your shipment immediately upon receipt of your package.  Headcovers.com shipments are carefully inspected through a meticulously managed system of checks and balances.  Therefore, any shipping or order fulfillment errors will be extremely rare and must be reported within 3 days of receipt.  Any product defects, omissions, or inaccurate shipments that are not claimed within 3 days of receipt will not be accepted for refunds, exchanges or credits.  If you are unhappy with an item that you have received for any other reason, please see our return policy for details on how to return the item.


International Shipments

Shipments to Canada*:

  • USPS Airmail Flat Rate: $14.99. Estimated delivery time is 5-14 days. (Estimated, does not include customs clearance).
  • FedEx International Priority: Takes 2-5 business days. Cost is based on weight.

Shipments to the UK (United Kingdom/ Great Britain)*:

  • USPS Airmail: Takes 5-14 business days for delivery (Estimated-Does not include customs clearance*). Flat Rate: $19.99.
  • FedEx International Priority: Takes 2-5 business days. Cost is based on weight.

Shipments to Australia, New Zealand and all Other International Destinations*:

  • USPS Airmail. Takes 10-21 business days for delivery (Estimated-Does not include customs clearance*). Flat Rate: $19.99
  • FedEx International Priority. Takes 5-7 business days. Cost is based on weight.

*Additional Information for International Shipments:

  • Your local government may charge a customs fee on your package, payable to your government upon entry into your country.
  • Shipments over 3 pounds in weight may be subject to additional shipping charges. Packages being shipped to remote locations may require additional shipping fees. We will contact you for authorization before shipping your order if additional shipping charges apply.
  • Shipping times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Although uncommon, customs delays are outside of our control and part of ordering items internationally. If you don't see an order moving or being scanned it is typically due to being delayed in customs, by your country.
  • If a FedEx or UPS package is marked "Return to Sender" or is undeliverable, the carrier will charge us for return shipping. Therefore, return shipping charges will be deducted from your refund.
  • Please allow an additional 5 days processing time for wig orders.

Payments:

 

Credit Card Orders:  Credit cards are charged at the time of placing your order.  We use state of the art, industry standard encrypted technology to ensure your secure online transaction. For your safety, we are fully PCI compliant and have passed advanced and stringent security checks. This can be verified by viewing our security seals at checkout. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover Card.  Please ensure that the billing information provided at checkout matches the information on file with your credit card provider. Discrepencies may result in a delay in processing. We reserve the right to require an alternate payment method on any order that does not pass security screens.

 

PayPal Orders:  For your convenience, we accept payments via PayPal.  PayPal payments are charged at the time of placing your order.  To complete checkout, click on the PayPal button on the bottom of the shopping cart page.  PayPal is a third party processing services that allow you to make payments by credit card, e-check or electronic funds transfer. ou will receive a shipment notification and tracking information from Headcovers.com.  Shipment notifications will not come directly from PayPal. To expedite your order, please ensure that your account is verified and that your address is confirmed through PayPal.  (See instructions within your PayPal account). We reserve the right to require one or both of the security measures mentioned above.  Orders placed with accounts that are not verified and confirmed may delay processing or an alternate payment method may be required. We do not accept "Echecks".

 

Wire Payments: For your security, orders are manually screened for discrepancies using a variety of industry standard, objective criteria. If we are unable to receive proper verification on your payment, we will give you the option of paying by bank wire or cancelling the order.

 

Chargebacks or Disputed Charges: If you are unhappy with our service or products for any reason, please contact us directly.  We are happy to work with you to achieve a satisfactory resolution.  Often a chargeback (or dispute) will cause your funds to be tied up for months with your bank. We will be unable to assist you in obtaining a resolution once a chargeback has been filed. Please note that a $25 bank fee will be assessed immediately upon notification of a disputed charge. Just like a cancelled check or a check with insufficient funds, this fee is paid by the customer as a bank processing fee and is non refundable.  Please note that any additional bank fees associated with the chargeback process will be the responsibility of the customer. 

Chargebacks cost all of our customers in the form of higher prices.  In order to keep our prices low, we have implemented policies to protect honest customers from this type of theft.  When your bank notifies us of a disputed charge, we will issue an invoice for the disputed charge amount, plus the $25 bank fee.  Any additional bank fees during this process will also be billed.  Customer has 30 days to settle the debt in full.  If the bill is unpaid, customer's account is placed with a third-party collection agency.  The collection agency will report the delinquent debt to all major credit bureaus. 

Customers who chargeback their purchases will not be able to order from us again in the future.

 

Currency: All merchandise, shipping and other charges are listed in U.S. dollars.  Currency exchanges are conducted by your bank, credit card company, PayPal, etc.  We do not have control over currency rate fluctuations and your charge or refund may vary depending on your countries' currency rate at the time. If your order is shipping outside of the US, customs, duties and/or VAT may be assessed by your government in your local currency when your shipment arrives in your country.

 

Gift Certificates and Store Credits: Store credits and gift certificates are valid 2 years from the date they are issued. They are not refundable or transferable.


Placing An Order:

  • Online Ordering: For fastest processing, orders can be placed online via our secure shopping cart.
  • Order by Mail or Fax: To order by mail, complete our Printable Order Form and send your order by mail or fax.
  • Order by Phone: Fill out our Printable Order Form with your product selections, and call us at (281) 334-4287 or 1-800-264-HATS (4287) to place your order by phone.

Cancellations and Change Requests

 

Wig Cancellation or Change Requests: As soon as your order is submitted, we begin immediate processing. Often wigs are special ordered specifically for the customer. Once shipped to us from the manufacturer, they cannot be cancelled. For this reason, wig orders cannot be cancelled, even if the order has not yet shipped to you.  We will make every attempt to honor your change requests whenever possible but we cannot guarantee that your requests will be applied to your order. Refused shipments are processed as a return and are subject to our standard return policies. 

 

Headwear, Gifts and Other Products: We begin immediate processing of your order as soon as it is submitted. For this reason, we cannot guarantee our ability to cancel or edit an order, even if you contact us after immediately placing it. If an order is still located in our order intake department, we are happy to honor your requests whenever possible. If your order has already been sent to our shipping department, we cannot cancel it or make any alterations even if it has not yet shipped. Change or cancellation requests received by phone or email are not guaranteed. 


Gift Certificate Cancellation and Return Policy: Gift certificates are not refundable and cannot be cancelled. If you are the recipient, you may exchange any item(s) for other merchandise in our store, within the guidelines of our published return policy.
